Key Responsibilities – Collaborative Physician-Psychiatrist
- Provide clinical collaboration and supervision for psychiatric nurse practitioners delivering patient care in post-acute settings
- Review patient cases to ensure quality of service and adherence to clinical protocols
- Consult remotely with clinical staff to guide care planning and address complex psychiatric needs
- Support the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for efficient patient documentation and care coordination
- Foster a climate of empathy, respect, and open communication amongst all healthcare team members
Essential Qualifications and Skills for a Remote Psychiatrist in Virginia
- MD or DO degree with completed residency in Psychiatry from an accredited institution
- Current, unrestricted Virginia medical license and valid DEA registration
- Proficient in remote clinical collaboration and experienced with EMR systems
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and respectfully within diverse, multidisciplinary teams
